Does your HSA Pay for Orthodontic Treatment

What is a Health Savings Account?

HSA stands for Health Savings Account. They are savings accounts that are very similar to personal savings accounts like you would have at your bank. But instead, the money in your HSA is to pay for only health care expenses. The money in your HSA comes from a payroll deduction (sometimes employers contribute and sometimes they do not). One of the biggest benefits to the HSA is that the money you deposit into the account is not taxed. Typically, to be eligible for an HSA, you must have a high deductible insurance plan.

Does Olson Orthodontics Take Health Savings Account Payments?

Absolutely! At Olson Orthodontics, we are very flexible in accepting and working with your Health Savings Account. One thing that we can do is divide the payments for our patients over a 2-year payment plan to make sure that you are able to utilize your HSA to its full capacity. Another option is t0 run your HSA payment monthly on a date that you choose, or we can also provide any detailed letter you may need if you pay out of pocket and are reimbursed for payments.
